Here to celebrate.

My longings during the four years at UD are encapsulated in this one picture: Asian representation at a small and conservative community at UD and a promising future for a woman in STEM. While UD offered me a way to explore the realms of interests I never thought I had, the experience here also gave me a desire for more than just a school - a place that I could feel belong. A lot of changes have been made since my freshman year, especially when I was almost defeated by the predominantly Eurocentric culture & classes at UD. Efforts of many individuals have impacted UD slowly but surely, and we see the rise of diversity and inclusivity from the curriculum to on-campus activities. Big thanks to those who never gave up on voicing your cultural identity when it felt uncomfortable at times. Big thanks to other women in STEM for your perseverance in times of challenges & your willingness to lift up other women in such rigorous fields full of competitions. You have inspired me to be that woman for others at UD and where my future takes me.
